This video showcases my audio upgrade to the Samson C02 microphone, which is XLR based, and has fixed my ground looping problem to give me higher quality audio.
I originally bought the Behinger XM8500, but it was a bad fit for what I was trying to accomplish, which is why you see a clip of it in here.
DaVinci Resolve’s Noise reduction effect is on for the whole audio track with the exception of the one clip where it is off to show how much (or how little) background noise it will pickup. I use the manual learn feature on a noise tone clip, +2dB boosted, and then keep all options on the default settings other than changing the threshold from -40 to -30.
